Another airline has raised checked baggage fees. Is the Department of Transportation about to do something about it?

That's a question worth asking after Delta Air Lines joined the other major domestic carriers in raising luggage fees this week. Delta upped its checked baggage fees by $5 to $35 for the first bag, citing "rising industry costs."

The timing was interesting.
