Higher capacity, lower fuel prices and a war in the Middle East are pulling ticket prices into the abyss. But will you book?

Airfares are down — way down. And they remain in freefall, pulled into the abyss by declining fuel prices, higher capacity and a Middle East war.

At a time like this, a responsible journalist might spend a week calling aviation experts to ask them what will happen next. Will ticket prices continue to go down? Is this a good time to book?

But those are the wrong questions.
